As the calendar flips from summer to autumn months, beach days are replaced with days at the apple orchard or pumpkin patch. Summer scents like fresh-cut grass and barbeque fade and give way to pumpkin spice and burning leaves. With the arrival of fall also comes the popular corn maze. Family farms across the country have added corn mazes to a growing list of fall activities and attractions. 

But why wait until fall to feature a maze? RCI Adventure Products manufactures and installs Amaze’n Mazes™, a high capacity, customizable and permanent human maze. Our maze attractions provide a high return for a minimal investment making it a great entertainment solution for a variety of end customers including science centers, tour attractions, parks, agritourism and resorts.

What is a human maze?

Understanding the basics of Amaze’n Mazes™

An average-sized Amaze’n Maze™ will be approximately 5,200 sq. ft. in size and configured in a square. A maze can be larger or smaller, or configured different, to fit the desired footprint. Mazes can also be deigned with a viewing platform, so parents can keep an eye on their kids and monitor their progress. Platforms can also be installed within the maze itself, giving guests a birds-eye view of the maze and a chance to recalibrate. 

The object of Amaze’n Mazes™ is not to just find the exit as quick as possible. Guests are given a punch card at the start. With this punch card, they’ll clock in when they begin and then find four separate checkpoints hidden throughout the maze. At each checkpoint, guests will use a special hand punch and will spell out the word MAZE on their card. Once they get to that final checkpoint, they’ll head to the exit and clock out as quick as possible. Prizes can be earned based on finish times. With an average maze size, it could take a guest 8-12 minutes to complete the journey.
